Two teenagers have been charged in connection with a weekend drive-by shooting in Lebanon, officials say.

Just after 2 a.m. Saturday, a driver reported that a black sedan pulled up beside him on Route 202 and someone inside the sedan opened fire, the York County Sheriff’s Office said.

The driver was unharmed but two rounds hit the vehicle — one went through the driver’s side door, while another punctured a tire and disabled the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office found the black sedan at a Sanford business later Saturday and arrested a 19-year-old man, charging him with conduct with a dangerous weapon and criminal mischief in connection with the shooting.

Officers seized the sedan and a gun inside it. Chief Deputy Jeremy Forbes later said that gun is not believed to have been fired during the shooting.

The sheriff’s department announced Monday that a 14-year-old girl from Sanford was also arrested Saturday in connection with the shooting. She is charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon.

The gun that officials believe was used in the shooting was recovered during her arrest, the sheriff’s department said.

The 19-year-old suspect was taken to the York County Jail, where bail was set at $25,000. He was scheduled to make his first court appearance Monday afternoon in Biddeford.

The girl was taken to the Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland.

The sheriff’s department said the investigation is ongoing and more charges may still be brought.
