4-year-old transferred to Boston Children’s Hospital after Kennebunk near drowning

A 4-year-old girl was transferred to Boston Children’s Hospital and remains in critical condition after a near drowning in Kennebunk on Saturday, Kennebunk Fire Rescue Chief Justin Cooper said.
On Saturday morning, Kennebunk Fire Rescue received reports of a child who was not breathing at the Hampton Inn Hotel. She was in cardiac arrest following the incident at the hotel pool, according to a press release.

After resuscitation efforts, she was first taken to MaineHealth in Biddeford, then flown by medical helicopter to MaineHealth in Portland before being transferred to the Boston hospital.
