Cornell Knight Named Interim Municipal Manager After Truc Dever’s Resignation

Cornell Knight, a veteran municipal manager, has been selected to serve as the temporary head of the local government following the resignation of Truc Dever, announced in April.

Dever, who had overseen the municipality’s administrative operations for several years, stepped down in early April, citing personal reasons for her departure. The town’s governing council confirmed her resignation in a statement released that month and said the transition would be handled on an interim basis until a permanent replacement could be appointed.

Knight brings decades of experience in public administration to the role. A seasoned municipal manager, he has previously led several local governments in the region, managing budgets, staffing, and community projects. His appointment is intended to provide continuity and stability as the town searches for a long‑term candidate.
