First National Bank Announces Winners of 19th Annual Photo Contest
DAMARISCOTTA — First National Bank has announced the winners of its 19th annual Customer Photo Calendar Contest, selecting 15 striking images that will grace the bank's 2027 collection of calendars.
The contest, which invited customers to submit their best original scenic photographs of Maine, drew hundreds of entries from both residents and visitors alike. Each of the 15 winning photographers will receive a $150 cash prize.
The winning images span a diverse range of Maine subjects and locations. Diane DeFeo of Belmont captured the cover spot, while Lauren Remington of Calais claimed January. Other winners include Marge Winski of Tenants Harbor, L'aura Bradford of Lyndon, Washington, Linda Lunt and Jennica Piecuch of Mount Desert, Jessica Smith of Blue Hill, Sabrina Tyler of Rockland, Barry Timms of Northport, Michael Fillyaw of West Bath, Sammy Zaidi of Newcastle, Andrea Lowery of Boothbay Harbor, Emma Philbrook of Owls Head, Jewelia Spear of Windsor, and Tiffany Costa of Enfield.
The selected photographs will appear in First National Bank's desk calendar, tide calendar, and wall calendar for 2027. The bank expects the calendars to be available at all First National Bank offices by mid-November.
Executive Vice President Marcia Benner expressed enthusiasm for the contest results.
"We are thrilled to highlight the extraordinary artistic talent of our neighbors," Benner said. "Our 2027 calendar offers a beautiful snapshot of what makes our hometowns so special. Thank you to all who entered, and congratulations to our winners for capturing such vibrant, inspiring moments."
The submission period for the contest ran from last fall through the entry deadline earlier this year. The bank welcomed entries from both amateur and professional photographers, regardless of whether they were Maine residents.
