A three-vehicle crash Sunday in Gouldsboro killed a woman and injured three other people.

Heather Allen, 39, was killed in the rollover crash at the intersection of Route 1 and Old Route 1 in Gouldsboro on Sunday evening, according to Maine State Police.

Allen was driving east on Route 1 when a 46-year-old woman from Bangor failed to stop at a stop sign, police say.

The Bangor woman, driving a white 2024 Subaru Crosstrek, collided with Allen’s green 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer, causing it to spin out into westbound traffic. Then, the driver of a red 2014 Subaru Legacy hit Allen’s vehicle, causing it to roll over.

Allen was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in her vehicle, the Bangor woman and the driver of the Subaru Legacy were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Route 1 was closed for several hours while police investigated. Maine State Police said Monday they are still investigating the crash and have declined to release additional information.
