Fox News Digital Leads August 2026 Digital‑News Landscape, Outpacing Major Networks

August 2026 – In a month‑long sweep of online traffic, Fox News Digital topped the key metrics that define a news brand’s digital reach and engagement, surpassing every other outlet, including the Big Four broadcast networks.

Unique visitors

Comscore data released early this week shows Fox News Digital drew 76 million unique visitors on desktop and mobile devices during August, a figure that kept the outlet in the lead for the fourth consecutive month. CBS News trailed with 70 million unique visitors, followed by NBC News (65 million), The New York Times (63 million), CNN (56 million) and ABC News (29 million).

Multiplatform consumption

Fox News Digital also maintained dominance in multiplatform views and minutes. The outlet logged 1.47 billion multiplatform views and 3.2 billion multiplatform minutes in August, eclipsing The New York Times’ 1.27 billion views and 1.0 billion minutes, and CNN’s 415 million views and 647 million minutes. This marks Fox’s 28th straight month as the top news brand in multiplatform views and its 66th consecutive month in multiplatform minutes.

Social‑media engagement

Emplifi and Comscore Social metrics indicate Fox remains the most engaged news brand on social media for the 144th consecutive month. The outlet logged 85 million interactions across platforms in August, with 26 million coming from Facebook, 14.5 million from Instagram, and 4.7 million from X. TikTok saw Fox notch more than 39 million interactions, an 80 percent jump from the same period last year.

Across all social platforms, Fox’s videos attracted 1.4 billion views during the month.

Ratings headline

Fox News Channel also topped ratings against NBC, ABC and CBS for the second straight summer, according to the network’s own reports, underscoring a broader trend of the Fox brand’s digital and broadcast strength.

The data paints a clear picture: as August 2026 closed, Fox News Digital remained the dominant force in U.S. news consumption online, a streak that shows no sign of ending.
