Abby Trainor recorded seven goals and two assists to lead defending state champion Windham to a 16-4 win over Cape Elizabeth in a Class A girls lacrosse quarterfinal Friday in Windham.
Neve Ledbetter added four goals and four assists for Windham (14-2), the No. 3 seed in the tournament and the [No. 2 team in the Varsity Maine poll](https://www.pressherald.com/2026/06/09/defending-champ-now-2nd-in-varsity-maine-girls-lacrosse-poll/). Olivia McPherson added two goals, while Mady Donnelly, Morgan McLain and Brooklyn Roy each had one. Avery Adams stopped four shots.
The Eagles will play second-seeded Cape Elizabeth in the semifinals.
Lulu Stoecklein, Zabina Zimmerman, Audrey Higgins and Lucy Backman scored for 11th-seeded Cape Elizabeth (7-9). Ella Boyer made two saves.
**GREELY 16, GARDINER/HALL-DALE 1:** Led by four goals and an assist from Makenna Seaver, the top-seeded Rangers (13-2) cruised past the eighth-seeded Tigers (8-8) in a Class B quarterfinal in Cumberland.
Audrey Ingersoll chipped in with two goals and two assists, and Kaia Perkins, Hadley Hatch and Molly Magoun also scored twice as Greely advanced to play No. 5 Brunswick in the semifinals.
Avrey MacMaster scored for the Tigers.
