School Resumes Monday After Rooftop Ventilator Leak Fixed
A temporary closure at a Maine school this week was prompted by an odor that traced back to a leaking rooftop ventilator. The school’s superintendent confirmed that the leak was the source of the smell and that a valve had been repaired to stop the issue.
According to the superintendent, “a rooftop ventilator was leaking, which caused the smell.” Officials later stated, “School will resume Monday after a valve was fixed.” The valve repair was completed ahead of the Monday reopening, allowing students and staff to return to the campus as usual.
The incident had caused the school to be temporarily closed earlier this week to address the odor problem. With the valve now fixed, the school is set to resume normal operations on Monday.
