100%
Rockland Public Library will host UMaine librarian John Hutchinson at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 9, for an entertaining presentation about Milton Bradley, the game maker who pioneered fun and educational games and later became a champion of the kindergarten movement. He was also a master lithographer and creative entrepreneur.

This talk explores Bradley’s remarkable life and legacy, with plenty of visuals — including a reproduction of his first hit board game, an early edition set of his popular Author Cards and even a working zoetrope. Whether you’re a fan of board games, history or inventors, you’ll leave with a new appreciation for the man behind the Milton Bradley Company.
