Television ads and social media blurbs are currently firing up Maine’s politics — with their various biases. I wholeheartedly disagree with Cynthia Dill’s recent op-ed on Sen. Susan Collins (“Susan Collins is a feminist’s best investment,” Aug. 2). In my observation, Collins is anything but a feminist.

In the meantime, I would like to urge every reader to check out the paper’s weekly Sunday feature: “How Maine’s members of Congress voted last week.” This tells us everything we need to know about Collins.

The other resource that I find very helpful is watching C-SPAN. There, one can watch our government in process. It’s mind-blowing. Honest data and real-time conversations do not lie.

Let’s make our choices having educated ourselves.
