Meet the 2026 Varsity Maine All-State girls track and field team
Maine’s elite track athletes celebrated in Varsity Maine All‑Region honors
A remarkable spring on Maine’s prep track circuits culminated this week with the release of the Varsity Maine All‑Region Girls Outdoor Track & Field team, recognizing the standout performers who helped define the 2026 season. From record‑breaking jumps to dominant distance runs, the list reads like a who’s‑who of the state’s most talented young athletes.
The honors were drawn from results at the Maine Principal’s Association state meet on June 6, 2026, and the subsequent New England Championships, where many of the same athletes continued to shine against regional competition.
Athlete of the Year
Isabella Harmon of Scarborough earned the Varsity Maine Girls Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year award, capping a two‑season run of excellence that began with her indoor track accolades. At the Class A state meet, Harmon claimed victory in the 100‑meter hurdles and the high jump, added a second‑place finish in the pole vault and placed fifth in the long jump. Those points were instrumental in guiding Scarborough to the Class A team title. Her success carried over to the New England stage, where she took first in the high jump and sixth in the pole vault.
Class A standouts
Hampden Academy’s Addison Elliott underlined her status as one of Maine’s premier distance runners. Elliott swept the 800‑ and 1,600‑meter events at the Class A championships and also contributed a leg on the Broncos’ third‑place 1,600‑meter relay squad. Brunswick’s Liz Green closed her high‑school career in style, winning the discus at the Class A meet and helping the Dragons secure seventh overall. Green also topped the field at the USA Track & Field Region 1 Jr. Olympics held at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts, before finishing fifth in the discus at New Englands.
Marshwood junior Anna Jennings rewrote the record books, launching herself 18‑feet‑7‑inches to smash the Class A meet record in the long jump. She also won the 400 meters, propelling the Hawks to a sixth‑place team finish. At New Englands, Jennings placed second in the long jump and seventh in the 400. Falmouth’s Georgia Moon proved equally versatile, capturing the 3,200‑meter run and anchoring the winning 1,600‑meter relay at the Class A meet, while adding a second‑place finish in the 1,600. Her best New England result was a fifth‑place showing in the 1,600.
Class B highlights
Yarmouth’s historic breakthrough was highlighted by senior Ella Cameron, who dominated the throwing circle, winning both the discus and javelin at the Class B state meet. Her fourth‑place finish in the shot put and sixth in the pole vault added crucial points toward Yarmouth’s first-ever Class B girls track and field championship. At the New England Championships, Cameron earned bronze in the javelin and placed fourth in the discus.
Fellow Clipper Miah Jacobs, a junior, contributed with a victory in the 100 meters and a third‑place finish in the 200, and she helped Yarmouth capture the Western Maine Conference (WMC) Division 1 title. Nokomis senior Angelina Boisvert was a multi‑event force, finishing among the top five in four separate events: she won the shot put, took third in the 100‑meter hurdles, fourth in the triple jump and fifth in the long jump, all at the Class B state meet, helping the Warriors land a top‑10 team finish. Boisvert later placed eighth in the shot put at New Englands.
MDI senior Seneca Haney closed her senior season in style, winning the 200 meters and the 1,600‑meter relay while finishing second in the 100 at the Class B meet. On the New England stage, she captured gold in the 200 and placed sixth in the 100. Greely junior Victoria Zandan showcased hurdling and jumping prowess, winning the 300‑meter hurdles, placing second in the 100‑meter hurdles and long jump, and finishing fifth in the triple jump at the Class B championships. She added sixth‑place finishes in both the 300‑meter hurdles and long jump at New Englands.
Class C standouts
In the smaller school division, Traip Academy sophomore Jacqueline Diallo proved to be the fastest sprinter in Class C, taking first place in both the 100 and 200 meters at the state meet before making her New England debut, where she finished eighth in the 200. Orono senior Easnadh Nobel To’olo was a multi‑event ace, winning the 100, triple jump and pole vault while finishing second in the long jump at the Class C championships. At New Englands, she placed 13th in the 100‑meter hurdles and 15th in the pole vault.
Coach of the Year
The Varsity Maine Coach of the Year honor went to Yarmouth’s Sarah Carrigan. After guiding the Clippers to a fifth‑place finish in 2024 and a runner‑up spot in 2025, Carrigan’s squad finally broke through to claim the program’s first Class B state title this spring. In addition to the state championship, Yarmouth also secured the Division 1 girls title at the WMC meet, underscoring a season of consistent excellence under her leadership.
Looking ahead
The All‑Region selections underscore a banner year for Maine girls’ track and field, with athletes across all three classifications delivering performances that will be remembered for years to come. As many of these athletes turn their attention to summer training and the next level of competition, the foundation built during this season—marked by record performances, historic team achievements, and a new crop of future leaders—promises to keep Maine’s track community in the national spotlight.
