BANGOR, ME – On Tuesday evening, officers of the Bangor Police Department were dispatched to a report of multiple gunshots fired on March Street. The department reviewed surveillance video from the scene and determined that a dog in the area was not tethered at the time of the incident.

The police report, released by the department’s media office, stated that the footage clearly showed the dog roaming freely, “not tethered.” The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and authorities have not yet identified a suspect or motive. No injuries or property damage have been reported in connection with the event.

Bangor police are encouraging any residents who witnessed the shots or who possess additional footage to contact the department’s public information office. The department emphasized that it is taking the matter seriously and is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
