As a singer and songwriter, Kwanza Jones knows a thing or two about putting on a performance, and she made sure to show off those abilities as she was introduced as a new owner of the San Diego Padres.

Jones, along with her husband, Jose E. Feliciano, took over ownership of the Padres in a $3.9 billion sale from John Seidler and his family earlier this month. The pair were introduced to the media in San Diego on Monday, and it's safe to assume that Jones is rather excited about the new, incredibly expensive endeavor in Major League Baseball.

"We gonna win. We gonna win. We’re going to win, win it all," Jones shouted while offering up some hand gestures as well. "We hope it’s sooner rather than later."

Jones also stood up at one point during the news conference and took a picture of the gathered media with her phone.

Padres fans are hopeful that sooner rather than later part comes to fruition, especially considering that they've been waiting forever to see San Diego win a World Series.

The Padres have played in the World Series twice in franchise history, most recently in 1998, but have never hoisted the Commissioner's Trophy.

PRIVATE EQUITY COMPANY APOLLO AGREES TO FINANCE DEAL WITH NEW YORK YANKEES ORGANIZATION FOR $2.6 BILLION

Feliciano is an investor and the co-founder and managing partner of the investment firm called Clearlake Capital, the 12th largest private equity firm in the world. Forbes reports that his net worth is $3.9 billion.

Feliciano is not new to the sports owner's world, as Clearlake co-led a group of investors in an acquisition of Chelsea in the Premier League in May 2022.

Jones and Feliciano could be in store to witness postseason baseball in San Diego this year, with the Padres currently holding onto the third Wild Card spot in the National League with a record of 71-61.

The Padres currently hold a two-game lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Wild Card race with 30 regular-season games to go.
