Carol Bullerwell Rickett, 74, of Windham, Dies After Brief Illness

Windham, Maine — Carol Bullerwell Rickett, 74, a longtime resident of Windham, passed away on August 27, 2026, at Maine Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born on July 2, 1952, to the late Robert Bullerwell and Marilyn Mayberry.

Rickett was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother. She spent 55 years married to Richard Rickett, her “love of her life and soulmate,” and together they raised two children. A proud Navy wife, she also worked as a certified nursing assistant while raising her family.

A beloved member of her community, Rickett was known for her charismatic personality, warm laughter, and a gift for storytelling that brought joy to everyone she met. She cherished moments with her four grandchildren—Chance Manoogian, Paige Manoogian, Taylor Rickett, Amber Merkle, and Ashlyn Lowe— and her great‑grandchild, Emery. Rickett looked forward to welcoming two more great‑grandchildren, Caroline Louise and Harrison George, into the family.

She is survived by a wide circle of loved ones: husband Richard, sister Linda Pease (husband Kurt), brother Dwayne Bullerwell (wife Michelle), daughter Jennifer Manoogian (husband Rich), son Jason Rickett (partner Angela Smith), and her many grandchildren and great‑grandchildren. The family also acknowledges many nieces and nephews.

Rickett’s parents, Robert and Marilyn Bullerwell, as well as brother Wayne and brothers‑in‑law David and nephew Korey, predeceased her. She is also survived by her sister Linda, brother Dwayne, and daughter Jennifer, among others, while her mother, father, and several other relatives are no longer living.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to nieces Amanda and Amy, granddaughter Taylor, and sister‑in‑law Debbie for their care and support that allowed Carol to remain in her home during her illness. Friends, neighbors, and the local community—especially the staff at CoCo Nails—were also thanked for their meals, visits, and comforting presence.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, September 12, at 2 p.m. at 14 Breezy Meadow Lane, Gorham. All who knew and loved Carol are welcome to attend and share memories of her spirited life.
