Waka Flocka Flame Breaks Silence on Trump Support, Reveals He's Never Voted in First-Ever Rapper Appearance on OutKick
Rapper Waka Flocka Flame made history as the first hip-hop artist to appear on OutKick's "Tomi Lahren Is Fearless," delivering unfiltered opinions on the 2024 presidential race, his views on voting, and his upcoming journey into fatherhood.
During the no-holds-barred interview, the "No Hands" artist made his position clear: he supports former President Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris.
"He's better, in my opinion," Waka Flocka said when explaining his preference. He compared his political stance to the eternal basketball debate between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. "Just like I supported Kobe Bryant over LeBron, because hey, Kobe Bryant's a better basketball player to me, but LeBron's the best right now. That's just, that's what it is."
However, the Atlanta-based rapper was quick to draw distinctions between endorsing a candidate and blind allegiance. "Now when people use the word support, that mean you stand for everything a one stand for, and that ain't what it is," he clarified.
Perhaps the most striking revelation came when Lahren pressed him on whether he had actually voted for Trump. "I never vote for nobody. Never in my life voted," Waka Flocka declared. "Where I'm from, man, we call it the hood, the trenches, the ghetto. Votes don't matter for people like us. They never did, and never will."
Despite his endorsement, Waka Flocka acknowledged he hasn't adopted every aspect of Trumpworld. When asked about Harris, his response was blunt: "Hell no."
The conversation also touched on the broader climate facing entertainers who express conservative viewpoints. Waka Flocka weighed in on the backlash Nicki Minaj faced after publicly supporting the former president, calling her "a huge influence on female rappers" and noting she faced calls for cancellation after introducing Trump at events and advocating for Christians in Nigeria.
The rapper did identify one thing he learned from observing Trump. "The only thing I learned from Trump was how to delegate my capital and how to structure my business," he admitted.
Away from politics, Waka Flocka shared an update on his personal life, revealing he is preparing to welcome his first biological son into the world. The prospect of fatherhood has given him pause for reflection. "Another human is gonna be in the house and I got a strong responsibility," he said. "Nothing is real to me till it's real."
