She lived a life rooted in beauty and curiosity. Dawn obtained her degree in 2000 for Horticulture from S.M.T.C in South Portland, Maine, a path that advanced her-lifelong passion and the creation of her accomplished business, ‘Leaf It To Me”. Her hands had a gift—whether nurturing gardens, crafting art, or transforming everyday spaces into places of warmth and wonder. Nature spoke to Dawn, and she listened in awe. She had an admiration for Renaissance Faires, Scottish Festivals, Solstice Celebrations, the Cinema, treasured first-edition novels and found magic in the quiet details of the world. One of Dawn’s greatest joys was her children, whom she supported the successes of while offering timeless encouragement and wisdom. Her legacy lives on most profoundly through them. Dawn shared her knowledge freely, her creations lovingly, and her time wholeheartedly. In September of 2011, Dawn found her best friend when she was courted by Matthew Bastille. They married on Sept. 13, 2015, sharing a vintage love filled with witty humor and simple joys—picnics, beach walks, stolen moments together, and even caring for the neighborhood cats. In the winter of 2024, Dawn and Matt moved from Wells and purchased a home in Roxboro, N.C. Allowing time together, shared stories and meaningful conversations. She will be deeply missed and endlessly cherished. Dawn’s memory will live on with her spouse, Matthew Bastille; brother, Clifford L. Peck III (Alexa and Gavin); children, Cory J. Peck (grandson, Apollo); Gwendolyn N. Dixon, her husband Chief Petty Officer, Phillip A. Dixon III – U.S. Navy Seabee, (granddaughter, Victoria); and Danelia R. Coburn. A Drumming and Sage Celebration of Life will be held on Wells Beach, near the Summer Solstice of 2026. Condolences may be sent to [http://www.brooksandwhite.com](http://www.brooksandwhite.com).
